UPDATE on My GG Grand Uncle

We have had to put this to rest and my 2nd Great Grand Uncle will have to continue resting in peace without his well-earned military headstone. 

They have lost his records and apparently, there are too many William Youngs who fought in the Civil War. There is a question about where he lived when he joined. 

I do know he joined up the same day as my 2nd Great Grandfather and another brother Soloman Young. They have their records, but not William. 

Very disappointing. I joined Fold 3 and thought I found it but once we started digging, it just couldn't be verified as the one and only William Young that is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Oregon. 

As with many other brick walls I have encountered, I won't give up - I will give it time for more information to surface. I am 69 years old/70 in March and Lord willing I have time to try and get this deed done once and for all.
